Michael Trexler, Ph.D., LMHC is a Mental Health Clinician for the Department of Mental Health Services at Indiana University School of Medicine. With over fifteen years of experience in the mental health field, Dr. Trexler’s has worked with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, children and adolescents with severe emotional disturbances, college students in a university counseling center, adults in a private practice setting, and now with medical trainees. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (Board Approved Supervisor) in Virginia, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Indiana, National Certified Counselor, a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and Certified EMDR Therapist. Dr. Trexler holds three degrees: Ph.D. Counselor Education & Supervision, Liberty University (graduate with high distinction), May 2020; M.A. Professional Counseling, Liberty University, May 2012; and B.S. Music Education, Indiana State University, May 2002.
