Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at IU School of Medicine
Lee Patterson, MD FAAP was born and raised in the southwestern town of Tulsa, OK. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Harvard University in Cambridge, MA; and his Medical Degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. He completed his residency training in Pediatrics at Rush Children's Hospital in Chicago, IL. He currently resides with his family in Matteson, a southern suburb of Chicago.
Dr. Patterson is board-certified in Pediatrics; and he has worked to deliver primary healthcare to children in underserved black & brown communities in the Chicagoland area for over 25 years. He recently crossed the Illinois state border to bring his experience to the Regional Healthcare System practice in Hammond, IN with the express goal of expanding the pediatric component of the office's ambulatory care. He is a staff member of the Indiana University School of Medicine serving as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics -- thereby providing clinical preceptorship to the school's rotating medical students.
When he is not practicing medicine, (weather permitting) he enjoys taking extended neighborhood bicycling excursions with his husband, Eric. And on occasion, they both enjoy boring their 15-year-old son, Dashawn, with home screenings of movies from the Star Wars franchise and old episodes of Game of Thrones. "Winter is coming..."
