Adjunct Clinical Professor of Dermatology at IU School of Medicine
Dr. Ginat W. Mirowski is a dually trained Dermatologist and Dentist who has developed an expertise in Mucosal Dermatology. She is an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University School of Dentistry, a Clinical Professor in the Department of Dermatology at Indiana University School of Medicine and has an outpatient Mucocutaneous Dermatology clinic at IU Dermatology Clinic. She cares for patients with skin concerns as well as patients with oral and genital or vulvar diseases. Dr. Mirowski received her BA from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. She then moved to Boston where she received her dental degree and her medical degree from Harvard Dental School and Harvard Medical School respectively. She also completed training in Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology training at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine in Worcester, MA and her Dermatology Residency at the University of California in San Francisco. In 1996, she and her family moved to Indianapolis to join the faculty at Indiana University. Dr. Mirowski was awarded the Women’s Dermatologic Society Academic Mentorship Award in 1996 where she further developed a focus on vulvar disease with Libby Edwards. Dr. Mirowski actively participates in numerous professional societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the Women’s Dermatologic Society and the Indiana Dermatology Association. Dr. Mirowski has published extensively including almost 100 articles in clinical journals, book chapters, review articles, case reports and abstracts. She currently serves as an assistant editor for the International Journal of Women’s Dermatology and has served for years on the Editorial Board of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and she is an ad hoc Editor for numerous other Medical journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, Pediatric Dermatology and the International Journal of Dermatology.
