Bobbi J. Byrne, MD. Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, Section of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and Vice Chair for Education, Department of Pediatrics, Indiana University School of Medicine. Attending neonatologist at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. Nationally, Dr. Byrne is chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Longitudinal Study of Pediatricians Project Advisory Committee. She is also a member of the AAP NRP Steering Committee and serves as a Neonatal Content Expert for the Neonatal International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation. Her educational interest is in simulation based medical education and she is the Director of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program and Outreach Education. She directs a statewide outreach education program taking simulated medical sessions outside the university to community hospitals throughout Indiana. She has successfully applied for several grants to support her work and has been honored with several teaching awards including the Trustee Teaching Award, the Morris Green Pediatric Faculty Teaching Award, and the Edwin L. Gresham Award for her work in education.
