Second Year Medical Student at MSU College of Human Medicine
My name is Kimberly Adu-Gyamfi, I am a second-year medical student at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine (MSUCHM). I am the Health Policy and Legislative Affairs Conference Planning Subcommittee Chair, and I am also co-Vice President for the MSUCHM SNMA Grand Rapids chapter. I am from Houston, Texas and attended Bryn Mawr College in Philadelphia where I majored in International Studies with a concentration in Global Health and a minor in Health Studies. After graduating, I attended Manhattanville College where I completed my 2-year post-baccalaureate program and lived in New York City during that time. I am interested in Emergency Medicine and Critical care. I am very passionate about racial justice, reproductive justice, social justice in general, and dismantling health disparities, which further influences my interest in Health Policy. When I am not studying for STEP 1, I like to socialize with my friends (not during a pandemic), peruse twitter, sleep, binge watch reality tv shows, and obsess over my little toy poodle, Louis!
