Resident Physician at IU School of Medicine Anesthesia
Michael Adjei, MD is an immigrant from Ghana, West Africa. He moved to the United States to further his education and also be with family. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University. He then moved to Indiana to complete a post-bacc in the Master’s of Science in Medical Sciences program before matriculating into Indiana University School of Medicine. After obtaining his medical degree, he stayed at Indiana University School of Medicine to pursue his residency in Anesthesiology. He values giving back, therefore as a medical student, he participated in multiple groups and projects, including the admissions committee where he assisted in diversity recruitment programs to help diversify the physician workforce. Currently as a resident physician, he is a member of the Faculty, Staff, and Learner Training Task Force to help improve diversity, equity and inclusion at IU School of Medicine.
